Position Overview
This Director, Client Services will focus on increasing sales of multi-client products and securing renewals of existing services within an assigned group of clients that have potential for further penetration. This Client manager will also identify new big pharma/biotech clients and secure their purchase of our existing and new multi-client services. This position will have primary responsibility for new product sales.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Business development—50% of time
- Secure contract renewals on multi-client services and ensure payment on a timely basis
- Selectively sell new products/services to appropriate clients
- Increase the purchase of our multi-client services within targeted client companies
- Identify, gain access to and build positive relationships with new big pharma/biotech clients, and secure purchase of our current multi-client services
2) Client management—50% of time
- Build, develop, and maintain positive relationships and increase loyalty within assigned client companies
- Expand relationships with key decision makers and build loyalty within targeted clients segment
- Promote use of services within client company
- Identify key users of services within client companies and connect the client with the correct people at Health Strategies Group
- Ensure that the right individuals receive service deliverables and support, including onsite briefings
- Provide guidance to research directors on how clients can apply/operationalize the work
- Track and triage inquires from clients
- Develop and implement a strategic account plan for each client and lead regular account planning updates with senior management and the cross-functional team of service directors and consultants who support the client

Position Overview
The Manager leads and manages a team of three to five market research analysts in support of the assigned practice or service area. This position also leads projects, designs research, and manages and/or executes research activities for large syndicated and single client consulting research projects. Project management includes proposal development, project plan development, analysis, presentation development, and delivery of client presentations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Development & management of associates—40-55% of time
- Manage analyst team
- Develop analyst objectives, conduct performance reviews and skill assessments
- Monitor analysts’ workload and assign them to appropriate projects and client inquiries
- Provide training and development to associates
- Develop associates’ consulting skills through one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and providing appropriate resources and opportunities to develop skills
- Serve as a resource for information and guidance for the analyst team
2) Project analysis & presentations/client deliverables—15-25% of time
- Manage data in SPSS, Excel, and Access
- Analyze data in SPSS (utilizing frequencies, crosstabs, sorts, etc.)
- Conduct advanced analysis (e.g., modeling, regressions, etc.)
- Analyze data in Excel (creating pivot tables & graphs)
- Create relevant data results in Excel graphs and charts
- Identify key findings and use them to develop implications and recommendations for final deliverable
- Write presentations and final reports
- Present final deliverables/presentations at client meetings
- Respond to any further client inquiries regarding projects
3) Manage quantitative & qualitative pharmaceutical research projects—10-20% of time
- Write proposals/project plans (i.e., develop costs/budget, resource needs & timelines for projects)
- Develop research objectives and determine appropriate methodologies
- Work with clients to solidify research objectives
- Design research tools (i.e., surveys & discussion guides)
- Develop and communicate budgets, project timelines, and resource needs with clients and internal team
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews and create contact reports with resulting detail from interviews
- Keep projects within budget and estimated timeline by anticipating and resolving issues with fielding, surveys, and clients
- Serve as key client contact for project (respond to client questions, provide project specific communications, etc.)
4) Client management—10-20% of time
- Assist with building and developing positive relationships for Health Strategies Group within client companies
- Assist with determination of project/business objectives used to create proposals based on verbally communicated client needs and/or RFPs

Position Overview
The Manager of Client Operations, will lead, refine, and manage operational processes for our sales and client management function.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Develop and oversee operational processes & tools required to support account management and acquisition process—30-40% of time
- Manage the client planning process and the annual renewal and contract process
- Work with Client Managers and Finance to ensure that new clients are appropriately onboarded and ensure all phases of the proposal and contracting process are complete for new clients
- Work with finance to develop and oversee process for maintaining updated client subscriptions
- Monitor and reinforce organizational compliance with account management processes and use of account management tools
- Assist with initial training of all associates in HSG’s account management processes and tools
- Serve as an ongoing resource for associates regarding account management processes and tools
- Work as an active project team member to identify problems and barriers to successful account management and recommend solutions including new tools and standard procedures for account management
2) Sales & client management reporting function—20-30% of time
- Create sales funnel reports and forecasts. Work with database coordinators to develop ongoing reports that describe where clients are in the sales cycle and work with Director of Sales to monitor progress compared to goals.
- Measure, and report progress with renewal process including proposals developed, accepted and invoices sent. Identify and communicate gaps compared to previous year’s sales.
- Track metrics needed for year-end client manager objectives including client presentation status, new sales, presentations, and client reviews and report quarterly progress
- Maintain client manager assignment list and current client list
3) Support management of research service client information, distribution lists & service agreements—15% of time
- Track changes in client and prospect lists and inform Database Coordinator of changes. Follow up on discrepancies with clients, Client Managers, Research Directors and provide Database Coordinator with updated and correct contact information.
- Track client communication restrictions and inform Database Coordinator of restrictions
- Maintain file of client agreements, Conduct annual audit of client agreements/identify gaps in signed agreements and follow up with Client Managers to close gaps.
- Review client service agreements/contracts; address the legal issues and changes requested by clients
4) Client support—15% of time
- Manage web-based requests for all HSG clients/triage web-based inquiries to appropriate HSG contact
- Manage web Research Summary sign-ups
- Answer/resolve client-initiated calls about website issues, password requests
